Tyron Safety Band Installer Requirements

 

Communication and Scheduling

 

    1. Open email and respond promptly.

    2. Contact the customer or dealership by phone, text, or email to schedule service.

    3. Report back once the appointment is confirmed.

    4. Learn how the product is fitted to the wheel through training and manufacturer documentation.

 

Preparation and Equipment

 

    1. Carry the following tools and equipment:

     • Six bottle jacks (variety to fit different RV models).

     • Compressor capable of achieving 130 PSI for tire inflation.

     • 1-inch impact gun (capable of breaking lug nuts at 1,100+ ft-lbs torque).

     • Set of torque sticks.

     • Impact guns and sockets (both metric and standard sizes).

     • Industrial spray lubricants for lug nuts and KG nuts.

     • Tire irons for safely lifting tires off the hub.

     • Proprietary press for bead breaking & pressing Sidewalls.

     • Torque wrench for securing bolts and nuts.

     • Replacement parts: lug nuts, lug covers, hub caps, valve cores, valve stems.

     • Charts for bolt patterns and air pressures.

     • Tire pressure gauge for accurate readings.

 

Installation Process

 

    1. Position RV systems as needed:

     • Retract all slide-outs.

     • Adjust leveling jacks (auto Level Suggested)

    2. Position the bottle jack under the appropriate location to correctly and lift the RV.

    3. Use the bottle jack to lift the RV the appropriate distance off the ground.

    4. Spray all lug nuts with silicone lubricant or Nut Buster

    5. Carefully remove lug covers using appropriate methods & tools.

    4. Remove all lug nuts and lift Wheel/Tire assembly from the hub

    5. Carefully rest the wheel/tire assembly face up on a stable surface.    

    6. Use the proprietary press machine as a bead breaker & to compress the side wall of the tire enough            to allow access to the wheels channel.

    7. 

4. Reinstate the tire after fitting the safety band.

    5. Use the proprietary press as a bead breaker and for precise installation of the safety band.

    6. Reassemble the wheel and secure it with the torque wrench.

 

Note: The installation process is physically demanding and is often performed entirely on the ground, requiring the technician to work directly in dirt, gravel, asphalt, grass, or wet surfaces.

 

Customer and Dealership Interaction

 

    1. Build and maintain strong relationships with dealership managers, support, and service teams.

    2. Be prepared to answer customer questions and explain how the safety band works.

    3. Ensure proper documentation:

     • Obtain a signature upon completion of the install.

     • Place a sticker on the wheel and windshield near the stock number (for dealership installs) to indicate the product has been installed.

 

Safety and Accuracy

 

    1. Follow the manufacturer’s specifications for air pressure and other installation details.

    2. Measure tire air pressure using a gauge and adjust as needed.

    3. Use lubricant sprays and solutions for smooth assembly.

    4. Ensure all bolts and nuts are securely fastened with the proper torque.

 

Travel and On-Site Work

 

    1. Travel to the customer’s home, storage facility, or RV lot with the help of GPS.

    2. Work in various environments, adapting to conditions such as weather, surface type (dirt, gravel, asphalt, grass, or wet conditions).

    3. Carry appropriate insurance to cover on-site work risks.
